Getting to know one another
Due-diligence and fact finding
Once you have successfully completed the Just Better Care application process, it's time to start your due diligence.
There are three important components of this stage in the process:
- In order to commence Due Diligence you will be asked to provide a refundable deposit of $3,000 plus GST.
- Review our Franchise Disclosure Document (DD)
- Connecting with or visiting other Just Better Care franchise owners to gain a good sense of a community care business and determine suitability.
Our franchise disclosure document
If your application meets our minimum criteria we will forward you the Disclosure Document for Franchisee or Prospective Franchisee (DD). The DD provides more in-depth information on the Just Better Care franchise including indicative costs.
Connecting with other franchise owners
No one can give you a better understanding of the Just Better Care franchise than our current franchise owners who live and breathe the business every day. As we get further into the application process, we’ll provide you with a customised list of offices, including those close to you and some who share similar profiles.
For example, if you have young children, we’ll include an owner who has experience balancing community care life with parenting young children. If you are taking this on as a single owner, we’ll include someone else who has shared that experience. This will help you get answers to questions that are meaningful and specific to your circumstances. Other things we might provide a match for include franchise locations with similar demographic profiles, or owners who have faced similar challenges to ones you may face.

At this point, you should get a feel for what your life will look like and how you would make the Just Better Care franchise work for you.
Our franchise owners tend to be very welcoming to prospective owners, and very thorough and transparent with the information they provide. They know what it’s like to be in your shoes. They are also invested in growing the franchise, and they care about whether candidates understand the brand, and our mission. You can expect honest insights about the pros and cons of community care ownership.
